2008 Exit Science Portfolio Contents

Portfolio Project Due: June 11th, 2008

COVER
Create a cover to glue to your reused manila folder. It should include your name, date and group. This folder will be where you will staple your work to the top of the inside cover. You may also use a ringbinder. (See Mz. Marcotte's Samples)

Table of Contents
Include the title of each science portfolio entry and the page number in
the portfolio in which the paper appears. (See Mz. Marcotte's Samples)

Letter to the Reviewer (Worth 50% of your score)
Write a letter to the reviewer of your portfolio, introducing yourself and explaining what each of your pieces is about, and why it is an example of your best work for that assignment. Explain the reason that you chose your BEST PIECE, and explain how you use the reading and writing process in science class. You should also include a self -evaluation of your growth as a scientific writer and what you plan to work on in the future. *This may include goals that you set for yourself for 9th grade science class.

You may organize your letter any way that you feel would be best, but be sure to include all of the above information noted in RED.
 

Your letter should have an appropriate salutation.

3 paragraphs of at least 6-10 sentences per paragraph.
