Extra Credit PowerPoint  *You need to sign up for a topic w/ Mz. Marcotte.

Do a Lab Report about a SAFE science experiment that you conduct at home.

*You will need a signed note/permission slip from a parent or guardian prior to conducting your experiment!

INVENT something NEW! You can draw and color a diagram on poster paper or actually build your new invention as a scale model.

Type your Lecture notes or Foldable "Think Mark"  Notes

Create a puppet show about something you have learned in ECOLOGY.

*I have a puppet stage for you to perform your show in front of the class!

Puppet Making Make an animal puppet.

Create a children's book about  an animal that lives in a particular BIOME.

Make a large poster (bigger than 8x 11 paper) advertising what you are currently learning. You may use clip art and your computer to create your poster or use the old-fashioned way: Markers, glue sticks and glitter!

Our topics this year are: Ecology and Weather!

Read a Book CLICK HERE for book list. Schedule an appointment with Mz. Marcotte for a book talk during an inside recess or Write/Type a one page BOOK REVIEW  on a Science Fiction Book of your choice

Take home your  SCIENCE RINGBINDER and review it with your parent/guardian and have them write a note to Mz. Marcotte that says that they have seen and reviewed it or helped you organize it.  Be SURE they add their signature at the end of the note and you will receive an EXTRA CREDIT homework grade of 100%

Make up words to nursery rhyme tune about a science topic we are learning about in class and sing it to the class!

examples:  Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, Yankee Doodle,  You know, a song kinda like Weird Al Yankovic would sing!

Bring in 15-20 food labels that include the nutrition list AND the ingredient list!

 Print, color and label.   Some topics are more suitable for elementary students.
