Assertive Discipline Policy

stars.gif (2030 bytes)

What to do if you do something wrong.

Admit it~
avoid blaming others or making excuses.

Apologize~
Saying you're sorry (and meaning it) helps clear the air.

Accept the Consequenses~
as graciously as possible.

Learn from it~
Try not to make the same mistake again.

You will be given a fair chance to correct a behavior that is inappropriate

I will ask you in a kind or humorous manner to take care of your inappropriate behavior.

If you choose to ignore my request, you will receive:

A verbal or written warning

Warnings are recorded in a log book

TWO warnings in a month will result in an After School DT

Your Behavior is Your Responsibility!

*Please know that appropriate classroom behavior is included in most of your RUBRICS for science and can and will affect your grade.

Phone calls home to parents or guardians at home or at work are NOT uncommon!
