Pick up your current science game card from the game board Monday through Friday or download a card from this site.

Attach the article to the card or place the card in the magazine that you are using. The date of your article should not exceed 30 days of the current game date.

Do not use pencil. Type your work or write it neatly in pen.

*CS cards must be complete at the start of class.

Players are encouraged to report their research orally and quiz the class with a scientific trivia question.

Topics will be displayed on the Current Science game board and this website.

Only Current Science coupons are valid for free current science assignments.
( each quarter the winning team will receive these coupons. A player must not miss more than one Current Science card to be eligible for this coupon.)

*An absent player does not penalize the team, but must make up their card by the next day that he/she returns to school.

MAGAZINES/INTERNET  Articles +4 POINTS (no keyword in the article)

IF YOUR ARTICLES RELATES TO THE CURRENT TOPIC THAT IS BEING TAUGHT IN SCIENCE CLASS, YOU WILL NEED TO EXPLAIN HOW IT RELATES TO THE TOPIC. THIS CARD WILL SCORE:

+5 POINTS (Has a keyword in the article)

COMPLETE BOTH SIDES OF YOUR GAME CARD AND RECEIVE:

EXTRA CREDIT!

TEAM PENALTIES OCCUR WHEN:

1. PLAYER DOES NOT HAVE HIS/HER GAME CARD COMPLETE AT THE START OF GAME ON FRIDAY.

2. PLAYERS IN THE AUDIENCE ARE NOT ON TASK/LISTENING TO PLAYER ON THE COURT.

* IF A PLAYER IS ABSENT, NO PENALTY IS ASSIGNED, BUT THAT PLAYER MUST MAKE UP HIS/HER GAME CARD BY THE NEXT DAY HE/SHE IS IN SCHOOL OR A ZERO IS ASSIGNED TO THE PLAYER.

20 points=A++(105) The highest points possible

10 points =A+(100)

8 points=A(95)

6 points=A(95)

5 points=A-(93)

4 points=B+(90)

3 points=B-(85)

*late papers=D-(70)

*It is recommended that both sides are completed for a C-(75)!
